Improv Classes, free to the public!
Do your friends tell you that you should be a Comedian? Do you love making a room full of strangers laugh? Can you pretend to take a drink from a pretend glass?
If you answered yes to any of these questions than you are the person we are looking for!!
Off the Wall teaches a short form Improv class every Friday night at 8:00 P.M. (Located in the rehearsalhall of the Terrace Plaza Playhouse) This class is free and open to the public. All we ask is that you come out with intentions of learning. Sorry, no spectators.
This class is taught by our very own Josh Nufrio. Josh has been doing Improv for going on Seven years. He has been taught by some of the biggest names in Utah Improv. He also is known to bring in guest teachers. These are other players with Off the Wall and they bring a vast amount of Improv knowledge to the class.
So come on out and let Off the Wall open the door to Improv for you. No previous experience is necessary, only a desire to learn.
The next level
Josh also teaches an Improv 101 class. This class will prepare you for time on stage. It is more involved than the free class. It will go deeper into Improv theory and discuss Stage presence, confidence, scene work and character building. This is a great class for actors looking to "Get away from the script".
